3/07/14 - Sm Tortoiseshell, Ringlets, a bat
5/07/14 - 2 bats
7/07/14 - Bat
12th and 13th Bat
16/07/14 - Ringlet, Gatekeeper, M Brown, Bullfinch juv, Bat. Unfortunately the bullfinch flew against a window and broke its neck.
18/07/14 - Peacock, Ringlet, Gatekeeper. Hedgehog at Shaftesbury St
20/07/14 - Bullfinch (m), Green woodpecker (juv), Collared doves, Roe deer (sunbathing?) and a bat
23/07/14 - Bat
24/07/14 - Peacocks
25/07/14 - Roe deer (sunbathing?),
27/07/14 - Sm Tortoiseshell, Gatekeeper, Ringlet, M Brown, Common Blue, Peacock, Marbled White, Silver washed Fritillary, Sm Copper, and I'm pretty sure I saw a Clouded Yellow too. I tried chasing it to no avail and went back several times on subsequent days but didn't see one. It wasn't a Brimstone as it had dark edges to the wings so...These were all seen on the "new" bank cleared on the path between Downley and Hughenden Manor.

Marbled White, Comma, Silver washed Fritillary (m) and (f), Sm Skipper,
Green-veined White - all at same location as 27/07
30/07/14 - Sm Tortoiseshell, Peacock, Brimstone, M Brown, Red Admiral, L White and a bat
31/07/14 - Peacock, Sm Tortoiseshell, Gatekeeper, M Brown
Spoke with a walker during the month who told me she regularly sees hedgehogs at home "somewhere in Hazlemere".
